Is VOIP your thing? German Tech Support roles ( and Spanish and Portuguese research jobs)
I am getting the impression that there is a bit of an uplift in the job scene in Galway, particularly again in the linguistic area, in this case German! However, there are also other roles available for people with Portuguese/Spanish.

German Customer Service / Technical Support Location: Galway Salary: 30 – 35k
A multinational software company is expanding is European operations. This expansion includes the development of a brand new support desk for the German market in their Galway offices.
Candidates successful in this role will be at ease with providing outstanding technical customer support for a wide range of solutions.
Competence in platforms such as VOIP, Windows etc. will be an advantage.
The candidate will need to be a charismatic team player that enjoys challenges to resolve complex technical issues in the simplest and most effective manner.
The candidate must be competent at communicating technical plans of action to customers and must be available to work all hours to ensure a mission critical system is returned to operation in the shortest possible timeframe.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate clear thinking under pressure and communication skills that will ensure confidence in the company is maintained by management and customers.
Manage customer relationships through direct communication with customer to ensure timely and focused escalation situations.
Collaboratively work with other parties within the company to achieve a high degree of internal and external satisfaction.
Candidates must be willing to travel and participate in activities that fall outside the local business hours of their geographic location.
Achieve and maintain expense control.
And virtually any other task that is required to achieve customer and business demands.
2 – 4 years relevant work experience supporting clients in a technical environment preferred.
Excellent customer service skills.
Fluent in English and German essential.
Any additional European language is an advantage.
Ability to articulate the technical operations and functioning characteristics of assigned products.
Demonstrate ability to learn complex software tools.
Resolve Severity 1 and 2 issues with no assistance.
Professional demeanour to maintain and enhance client relationships.
Excellent written and verbal
